Honda Super Cub C125 Gets Reworked by K-Speed Thailand

Launched in 1958, the Honda Super Cub has become one of the most-produced motor vehicles in the world and it’s not hard to see why. This underbone motorcycle offers affordability, fun and practicality all in one quirky package. It is cheap to run too, which explains why it is very popular in this region.

Fast forward to the present day, the Super Cub is now offered in an all-new version known as the C125. As the name suggests, this kapchai is powered by a 125cc engine and comes with plenty of bells and whistles. It is basically a modern interpretation of the original model but the timeless design is still there.

Speaking of interpretation, we can see plenty of tuners and custom shops racing to come up with their own version of the C125 Super Cub. This brings us this specimen done by K-Speed Thailand, perhaps one of the finest examples out there.

As you can see, a lot of work has been done to give the bike a whole new appearance. The bike itself has been lowered, while the front mudguard has been completely removed to ensure the oversized tyre fits. The trimmed tail, along with the metal plate holder and the black matte colour scheme give this bike an edgy look.

Not much has been done to the instrument panel or cockpit, save for new grips and small round side mirrors that hang at both ends of the handlebar. On the body, some part of the cowling has been taken off while carbon-fibre side panels replace the original ones. What we really like here is the ribbed seat cover and the leather saddle bag on the side that does not only look stylish but provides additional storage as well.

Mechanically, the C125 seems to retain most of its original parts except for the aftermarket rear shock absorbers and exhaust. The dual caliper setup on the rear wheel is definitely an overkill but that’s exactly the point that K-Speed is trying to get across with this bike, don’t you think?
