MODENAS today announced a price cut for the Pulsar RS200 and the Dominar D400.
The new prices, which came into effect on 8th March 2020, sees the price of the RS200 reduced by RM1,360 (12%) to RM9,990, while the D400 will now be priced at RM13,788, which is RM1,700 (11%) lower than before.
Roslan Roskan, Chief Executive Officer of MODENAS attributed to the reduction in manufacturing cost of both models as the reason for the price change.
“Through improvements in our production process, we have managed to significantly bring down the manufacturing costs for the Modenas Pulsar RS200 and Modenas Dominar D400 models, and MODENAS is passing this cost savings to all two-wheel enthusiasts to make both these popular models much more affordable in Malaysia,” says Roslan.
The RS200 is a fully-faired motorcycle, while the ominar D400 is a sport-tourer. Both models are fitted with an in-line single-cylinder, liquid cooled, SOHC, fuel injected DTS-i engines as well as ByBre front single channel ABS mated to a six-speed, four-stroke gearbox.
Other standard features include a strong and light steel-pressed perimeter steel frame, as well as an underbelly exhaust to provide the extra stability and better control of the bike when cornering.
Apart from the price reduction, MODENAS is planning to boost its sales by expanding its product portfolio and its reach through opening of new dealerships. The brand is planning to introduce at least five new models and variants to the Malaysian market in the current calendar year.
