2020 Mazda2
The Mazda2 exterior has been updated with a new front grille design similar to that of the newer 7th generation products such as the Mazda3 and CX-30. The interior features a new grey trim and like the MX-5 RF, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto comes as standard and can be accessed via the Mazda Connect display.
As for driving dynamics, the Mazda2 gains the G-Vectoring Control Plus (GVC Plus) which uses the brakes to add direct yaw moment control for further enhanced handling stability. In addition to improving handling in emergency collision avoidance manoeuvres, GVC Plus offers a reassuring feeling of control when changing lanes on the highway and when driving on slippery road surfaces
Driving comfort has also been enhanced with a tuned suspension system for smoother vehicle movement and comfortable ride. New structured front seats improve the driver’s sense of balance, enhancing the sense of unity with the car and making driving easier. The transmission has been tuned for smoother acceleration.
The 2020 Mazda2 comes standard with a Skyactiv-G 1.5-liter engine that produces 114 hp at 6,000 rpm and 149 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. It is paired with a SKYACTIV-DRIVE 6-Speed Automatic transmission with Manual Shift mode. Offered as CBU from Thailand, the Mazda2 is priced at RM103,670.
2020 Mazda CX-9
For 2020, the premium SUV receives updated Mazda badging and fonts design as well as a new gray metallic finish to its 20-inch aluminum alloy wheels.
Inside, black leather seats with a new silver stitching finish extends a rich feeling to each of the three rows. Other standard features include an updated 9-inch Mazda Connect infotainment screen, Autohold function as well as i-Stop function, seatbelt reminders for 2nd and 3rd row passengers and additional two USB charging ports at the third-row.
A turbocharged Skyactiv-G 2.5T engine churns out 228 hp at 5,000 rpm and 420 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm and is paired with a quick-shifting, six-speed Skyactiv-Drive automatic transmission. The CX-9 is in both two-wheel drive and all-wheel drive format.

When the diagonal wheels lose traction, it will stop reducing the engine torque and increases the brake force on the wheels without traction. This transfers power to the wheels still on the ground to help allow the vehicle to regain traction and continue the drive.
Aside from GVC Plus, the CX-9 also comes with i-ACTIVSENSE advanced safety technologies features which includes, but not limited to the following; Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA), and Smart City Brake Support, Lane Departure Warning with Lane-Keep Assist.
