Details have just emerged that the Honda S2000 will be resurrected and the new S2000 car will be a coupe rather than a convertible as the iconic S2000 (they might change their mind and keep it a droptop as it should be). The all new S2000 will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine that will deliver around 350bhp.This will be the same engine that will also be used by the next-generation Honda Civic Type R, which will arrive next year. (pictured below is the previous S2000).
The S2000 successor will also receive some hybrid technology, developed in cooperation with McLaren’s Formula 1 team and this means that there will be an expected fuel consumption of around 7.0 l/100km. Best of all, this sports car will be capable to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in around 5.0 seconds, while top speed is expected to be limited at 250km/h or 155mph.
