Malaysia’s best-selling commercial truck range has taken a further revolutionary step forward following the introduction of the all-new sixth-generation N-Series trucks.
Also known as the Isuzu ELF, the all-new N-Series is a completely new truck from ground up, offering far-reaching benefits be it from the perspective of an owner or a driver, particularly in the area of safety where the all-new Isuzu ELF is the first light duty truck in Malaysia to comply with stringent United Nations Economic Commission For Europe (UNECE) safety standards.
The introduction follows Isuzu Malaysia’s pledge to provide Malaysian truck operators with a comprehensive range of Isuzu products that far surpass their demands for vehicles capable of driving their businesses or operations forward dependably and economically.
Speaking at the launch in Kuala Lumpur, CEO of Isuzu Malaysia Kimitoshi Kurokawa said that this latest generation of Isuzu light-duty trucks incorporate advanced design features that deliver a new level of trucking to Malaysia.
“These new trucks have been designed to further enhance the benefits of owning an Isuzu vehicle. Its advanced design, superb engineering and excellent driver-centric features ensure that the all-new Isuzu ELF will continue to be the preferred truck among Malaysians,” said Kurokawa.
The all-new Isuzu ELF now features three models, starting with the 4-wheeled NLR that comes with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 4.8 tons, the 6-wheeled NPR that has a GVW of 5 tons and a new 6-wheeled NQR model that comes with a GVW of 8.5 tons, the first in its class to boast such a generous tonnage due to its high axle load capacity.
In order to meet the varying requirements of individual customers, there are no fewer than nine different configurations available in the all-new Isuzu ELF range and this includes two high-performance common rail engines and two six-speed transmissions in the line-up.
While Isuzu products are already well regarded for durability, reliability and efficiency, this sixth generation ELF has received significant improvements over the previous generation in those areas while enhancing such features as comfort and space, engine performance and safety.
“I believe that with the impressive list of enhanced features, excellent build quality and good payload range, the all-new Isuzu ELF will continue to dominate the sales charts and remain as Malaysia’s favourite light-duty truck,” added Kurokawa.
With the introduction of the all-new Isuzu ELF, Isuzu Malaysia expects to continue commanding 44 percent of the light-duty truck market this year with sales expected to reach a new high of 6,500 units this year.
