Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM), the official distributor of Mitsubishi Motors vehicles in Malaysia, has announced a ‘Field Fix Campaign’ for 2,200 Mitsubishi Triton LITE Turbo cars sold from April 2012 to December 2013. Although there have not been any accidents in Malaysia, this exercise was necessary to undertake a preventive and safety measure to replace the crankshaft pulley bolt and retighten according to specification. This exercise was initiated by Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) in Japan, the principal of Mitsubishi Motors. The company has issued notification letters to the affected customers and full cost will be borne by Mitsubishi Motors for the improvement of the Triton LITE Turbo.
“We apologise to our customers and regret the inconvenience caused by this predicament. It is our priority to put our customer’s safety first without compromising the quality of the product we offer,” said Mr. Tetsuya Oda, Chief Executive Officer of MMM.
MMM kindly request valued customers to make an appointment at any of our Mitsubishi Motors authorized service centres nationwide for the replacement of the above which is an hour’s process.
