Honda Malaysia Issues Recall for 7,050 Units of 2018 CR-V

Honda Malaysia today announced a product update campaign (recall) involving 7,050 units of the 2018 Honda CR-V 2018 to replace the gear push knob button as a precautionary measure.

According to the company, all current selling models are not affected by this recall, and it will continue to uphold transparency and stringent controls for customers.

This product update campaign is a precautionary measure to address the possibility of customers facing difficulty with the transmission lever when shifting from the parking position to other gear positions.

  1. Honda CRV 2.0 2019 brand new car within a week, notice it is having tayar noise issue.after numberous checking n follow up with honda service center. Still can not solve

  2. I have loud tyre rolling noise too. Could be the brand of tyre used by Honda. As i have only done 19k km, i would not change them yet.

Next problem is the dash design and steering wheel. There are so many interfacing and overlapping of different materials creating deep joints that collect lots of dirt and dust which is difficult to wipe off. need to use a vacuum and toothbrush to get to the crevices. Very poorly thought out. I have never seen such a car that is so difficult to clean where it mattered most.

One final problem; my first time owning a “push start button” car. Unlike traditional key type, you can’t turn on the switch to “accessory” or “on” and operate the windows or wipers. You need to start the car to do that. How silly!

Also, the auto light comes on even when skies are still quite bright. Even by turning the light stalk to “off”, it cannot turn off the light. So what’s the function of “off” on the light stalk for??!
