Less than a month ago, Goodyear has said goodbye to its “Spirit of Goodyear” blimp. Today, the U.S.-based tire manufacturer has announced us that it will launch a new blimp. The new high-tech filming airship already made its first flight test on St. Patrick’s Day and it is scheduled to begin its real work this summer. The new Goodyear blimp was developed in cooperation with ZLT Zeppelin Luftschifftechnik and DuPont, and offers room for 12 passengers.
“The completion of the new blimp marks the beginning of a new era for our airship program and reflects Goodyear’s commitment to remaining at the forefront of aerial broadcast coverage and support,” the company’s senior vice president of global communications Paul Fitzhenry comments.
