Audi are celebrating a decade of its V10 engine’s existence with this very special R8 V10 Decennium model. Only 222 will be made, ready for the R8 generation 2 facelift‘s sales launch.
The first thing that gets you is the design highlights on this car. Audi’s signature Daytona Gray is applied on the body paint with a matte finish, but the bronze highlights are absolutely out of character for an R8.
From the 20″ wheels to the engine’s intake manifold – so much of this car is covered in matte bronze. Anotherhighlight colour is gloss black.
The front spoiler, side sills, diffuser and badges are finished in this colour. Carbon fibre is present on the mirror housings too.
Inside, it’s an all-black affair with some glossy carbon fibre pieces and gloss black as well.
Mirroring the exterior is the contrast stitching done in gloss copper tone. A lot of the highlights are done in this shade.
Audi’s patented ‘partial matting‘ process was used to give the “Decennium” logo on the centre console.
Powering the R8 V10 Decennium is the mighty 5.2-litre FSI V10 with 620hp and 580Nm of torque. If you’re one of the lucky few who can afford this 222,000 euro supercar (before taxes), you’ll even get a car cover from Audi with “Decennium” embroidered in it in bronze. The base model R8 with 570hp starts at 166,000 euro for context.
