At an event yesterday, UMW Toyota Malaysia officially stated their intentions to introduce the new Yaris and Supra to the Malaysian market.
The A90 Supra will most likely find its way into the country as a 3-litre, 8-speed automatic fully imported from Austria. This could make it extremely pricey, perhaps upwards of RM700,000.
As for the Yaris, we can expect a similar powertrain option to the current Vios (1.5-litre, CVT).
We reported back in July 2018 that Toyota may locally-assemble it at Toyota’s Bukit Raja plant.
