Renown website Japanese Nostalgic Car report that the last surviving 1982 Mazda 254i Le Mans racer has been rediscovered after being missing for three and a half decades.
This RX-7-based racer was one of two that competed in the 24 hour race all those years ago.
This 254i may have disappeared from records after being repurposed for All-Japan Sports Prototype racing.
It was at this time when its twin brother was totalled in a crash.
