The VW Gen.E has been designed to achieve maximum safety and will be able to have a range of at least 400 kilometers. This VW Gen.E has a double recharge port on the hood under the brand logo. The first one is used to recharge the batteries in domestic conditions and the second one for fast charging from special stations.
The Gen.E concept has several stylistic solutions like vertically open doors, retractable handles and some aerodynamic elements that make a connection between the roof and the rear wings. Volkswagen also mentions that the Gen. E is built on a lightweight and compact platform designed to provide a high level of protection and provide optimum performance from the propulsion unit.
