The all-electric Audi PB18 e-tron concept has been greenlit for limited production. This is according to an Autoweek Netherlands interview with Audi Global’s CEO.
The PB18 is planned for a launch between 2020 and 2021, with only 50 units to be made and sold. Audi’s planning to match the next-gen Tesla Roadster in terms of 0-100km/h time using three electric motors with a combined output of 671hp and 830Nm of torque.
The concept’s highlight is its ability to increase its output to 764hp for a short time, though this boost feature is thought to be an optional extra. The PB18’s 500km target range comes from a next-generation solid state 95kWh battery which can be fully charged in 15 minutes.
