TVS Breaks into Malaysian Market with 2 New Models

Daju Motors today launched the new TVS Apache RTR200 4V Race Edition 2.0 and Neo X3i motorcycles, marking the Indian brand’s entry into the Malaysian motorcycle market.

Apache RTR200 4V Race Edition 2.0

Power for the naked street bike comes from a 198 cc single-cylinder engine that makes 21 PS at 8,500 rpm and 18.1 Nm at 7,000 rpm. With a five-speed gearbox driving the rear wheel, the RTR200 sprints from 0 to 60 km/h in 3.9 seconds.

The engine is equipped with a Bosch electronic fuel injection system as well as a slipper clutch to prevent wheel hop while downshifting aggressively.

The bike is built around a double cradle chassis paired with telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock suspension with compression and rebound damping. Braking power comes from discs measuring 270 mm on the front wheel and 240 mm on the rear wheel.

Priced at RM10,950, the RTR200 4V Race Edition 2.0 is available in five colours – Black, Red, White, Grey and Matte Black.

Neo X3i

The kapcai is powered by a 109.7 cc single-cylinder SOHC engine with 8.5 hp at 8,000 rpm and 8.5 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm, and a four-speed transmission.

Tipping the scales at 101.5 kg, it comes with telescopic front forks and rear dual shock absorbers, as well as a conventional braking system that consists of hydraulic discs at the front and drum at the rear.

Other standard equipment includes iEcono indicator on the instrument panel and a charging port.

The Neo X3i can be had in four colour combinations, namely Blue/Black, Red/Black, Orange/Black and Green/Black. Pricing will be announced at a later date.
