Volvo Car Malaysia, the premium car maker, adds the S90 T5 to complement its existing premium flagship sedan, the S90 T8 Twin Engine, allowing a greater selection of variants to suit customer needs.
Powered by Volvo’s innovative drivetrain technology, Drive-E, the 2-litre turbocharged engine outputs 254 hp and 350 Nm of torque which enables the S90 T5 to reach 100 km/h in only 6.8 s whilst consuming a frugal 7 litres of fuel for every 100 km travelled.
Like the S90 T8 Twin Engine, the S90 T5 will be equipped with the full-suite of active safety and driver-assist systems which includes City Safety which comes with pedestrian, cyclist and large animal detection, Run-off Road Mitigation with Road Edge Detection and BLIS (Blind Sport Information System) with Steer Assist.
The S90 T5 will also get Adaptive Cruise Control and Distance Alert and the advanced semi-autonomous drive feature, Pilot Assist which gives steering input to keep the car properly aligned within lane markings up to motorway speeds of around 130 km/h.
On the exterior, the S90 T5 retains the 19-inch tyre profile albeit with a more aggressive wheel design – the 5-triple spoke Matt Tech Black diamond-cut alloys; new vertical front grilles to distinguish from the T8 Twin Engine; and round end-pipes with chrome sleeves.
The S90 T5 is priced at RM338,888 (on-the-road without insurance, including all applicable taxes) respectively and will be available in six exterior colours: Crystal White, Mussel Blue. Luminous Sand, Onyx Black, Bright Silver, and Maple Brown.
The model is available for viewing at all authorised Volvo dealers nationwide.
