Following the launch of the facelifted C-Class sedan, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia further expanded its product portfolio with the introduction of the Coupe version, which is offered in C 200 (RM346,888) and C 300 (RM416,888) variants.
Both variants are equipped with the AMG Line that includes the diamond radiator grille with pins in chrome plus an AMG-specific front apron with new geometry, sporty air intakes and its chromed trim element. The C 200 is equipped with LED headlamps and 18-inch alloy wheels, while the C 300 gets LED Multibeam headlamps and 19-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, both variants feature AMG Line Interior package which includes Artico leather upholstery, multifunction sports steering wheel in Nappa leather as well as an Athracite open-pore oak wood trim on the centre console.
Standard equipment on both variants include ambient lighting, illuminated door sill panels with “Mercedes-Benz” lettering, electrically adjustable front seats with memory function and four-way lumbar support. As for infotainment, a 12.3-inch all digital instrument display and a 10.25-inch media display come as standard on both variants but the C 300 adds on the Burmester sound system.
The C 200 is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine that produces 184 hp and 280 Nm of torque, with an EQ Boost system that assists the engine with an additional 13 hp and 160 Nm. With a nine-speed automatic transmission, the entry-level coupe sprints from 0-100 km/h in 7.9 seconds and reaches a top speed 239 km/h.
The C 300, on the other hand, features a 2.0-litre turbocharged mill with 258 hp and 370 Nm, enabling it to reach 100 km/h from standstill in six seconds. This variant has an electronically governed top speed of 250 km/h.
As for safety, the C 200 gets a reverse camera, Blind Spot Assist, Active Parking Assist, Active Brake Assist, Pre-Safe System and Keyless-Go, while the C 300 gets a surround view camera with Lane Tracking Package and Active Lane Keeping Assist.
