The road tests on public roads have now started for the all new Defender. Land Rover engineers and designers have resisted the temptation to transform its core iconic Defender into an SUV for its 2020 model. The successor of the legendary 4×4 built since 1948 is looking more like a Discovery in its silhouette. In 2016, the production of the only true and rugged Land Rover Defender ended with much sadness for owners and enthusiasts worldwide. Since then, the manufacturing plant has been bridging the wait by rebuilding and refurbishing used older vehicles.
