Coming to official Yamaha dealerships this October is the new MT-07 naked bike, which has been updated for 2018.
With the theme ‘Dark Attraction’, the MT-07 now sports sharper styling with a compact taillight, newly-designed air scoops and ergonomically designed seats.
The suspension system has also been given an update in the form of a rebound damping adjuster for the rear shock, while ABS now comes as standard for both the front and rear wheels.
Powering the MT-07 is a 689 cc, parallel-twin ‘crossplane’ engine that churns out 73.7 hp at 10,000 rpm and 68 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. A six-speed gearbox channels the output to the rear wheel.
Priced at RM38,228 (inclusive of sales tax, without insurance and registration fees), the new Yamaha MT-07 is available in two colours; Race Blue, available starting this month and Matt Grey, which will be introduced in January next year.
