Proton Breaks 17-Year-Old Record for Most People in an MPV

Proton has broken a 17-year-old record in the Malaysia Book of Records for ‘Most People in an MPV’ during the final round of Ace the Space Challenge.

The record was set by Team Girls Power from Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UNIMAP), who managed to squeeze 55 people into a Proton Exora.

The winning team received RM10,000 cash, as well as RM1,000 Proton sales voucher, a smartphone and two TGV movie tickets for each team member. The team is also invited to attend Proton’s first SUV launching ceremony.

Meanwhile, KVT Girl from Kolej Vokasional Temerloh and Senawang Triggers from Politeknik Port Dickson each had 53 contestants inside the SUV. Another team from UNIMAP, Team Last Minute bagged a ‘Best War Cry’ award.

Proton says the Ace the Space Challenge has proven the spaciousness of the Exora and Ertiga. The company plans to attempt for a new record in the Guinness Book of World Records.
