0Bye Bye Alfa Mito
Think back about 10-years ago and try and remember of any small hot hatch with a design that still stirs emotions? Only the Mito continues to be sexy 10-years on and the rest simply fade away as newer models are introduced.
Born to Italian parents in 2008, the Alfa Romeo Mito has been forgotten about the new product planners. Alfa Brand Chief Tim Kuniskis announced two sports car comebacks, the 8C and the GTV with two new SUVs but no word on the Mito.
In addition, a successor to the compact Giulietta was confirmed. The plans for the currently sportiest model 4C and the small Mito are decommissioning: 2022, both should no longer exist.
What she did not say: a model in the small car segment seems no longer desirable for Alfa. You want to grow, but in higher-yielding segments. Especially in southern European markets small cars ensure decent quantities. But at the same time, the Fiat subsidiary is targeting an average margin of 10%, which works better with models from higher vehicle categories.
