The Volkswagen Group today announced that they’ve had their best ever first half year in its history. In the first half of 2018, they delivered 5.5 million vehicles to customers.
Given how many poor top-level decisions have been made by this auto conglomerate, one would assume more consumers would be distancing themselves. But it appears that Volkswagen Group has done all the right marketing, PR, and sales moves to keep their giant ship afloat and MORE. I mean, not too long ago, they openly admitted to releasing more cancer-causing emissions than they were supposed to, single-handedly destroying the future of passenger car diesels.
It just goes to show that consumers will forget about nearly anything when the price and product can excite.
