This 2025 Dongfeng Nammi 06 Might Be Launched In Malaysia In 2026

The Dongfeng box is not doing as well as it could so the Nammi 06 may come to help

The Dongfeng Box was recently launched here in Malaysia and still, I don’t see any on the road. This does not mean that no one bought the car, but it does mean that the car simply is not doing as well as Dongfeng Malaysia may have hoped. Now the brand needs a new product to boost sales and we may get it next year with the 2025 Dongfeng Nammi 06.

Dongfeng BOX

The 2025 Dongfeng Nammi 06 is a compact electric SUV built on the brand’s Quantum Architecture No. 3 platform, which promises an efficient and eco-friendly driving experience. The 2025 Dongfeng Nammi 06 features sharp, dynamic lines and a sculpted front fascia that gives it an assertive and futuristic look.

Moreover, the Dongfeng Nammi 06 sports a unique LED DRL in the rear that integrates seamlessly into the front design. Measuring 4,306mm in length, 1,868mm in width and 1,645mm in height, the Nammi 06 offers a spacious interior with a 2,715mm wheelbase, ensuring ample room for passengers and cargo.

Powering the 2025 Dongfeng Nammi 06 is a single electric motor that makes 184hp. This is paired with a lithium iron phosphate battery, ensuring impressive efficiency and performance. The SUV’s approach angle of 23 degrees and departure angle of 30 degrees make it highly adaptable to various terrains, perfect for urban commuting and outdoor adventures alike.

On top of that, on the inside, the 2025 Dongfeng Nammi 06 is expected to offer a digital instrument cluster and a large touchscreen infotainment system, following the design trend set by the Nammi 01 electric crossover. It is also the trend these days with some automakers even adding in 3 screens up front.

The 2025 Nammi 06 is slated for launch in China in Q2 2025, so the earliest Malaysia will see it is likely some time in the middle of next year. While official pricing has yet to be confirmed, estimates suggest a starting price of around USD13,800 (about RM61,621), making it a highly affordable option for those looking to make the switch to electric driving.

With the Dongfeng Box being a sales disaster, it should go without saying that Dongfeng will need something to help get its badge out there and seen by the general public very soon, however, we also know cars that are launched in China typically take a while before they are launched here so let’s see how soon the Nammi 16 takes to come here, if it does at all.
