Changan Malaysia has yet to unveil any new models in the country but that could change soon with the Changan Qiyuan Q07, a spacious, comfortable and tech packed SUV designed for unforgettable family adventures. In fact, the company even describes this vehicle as a home away from home.
The Changan Qiyuan Q07 is built on the new SDA electric platform and integrates Changan’s self-developed TianShu Intelligent Driving system. This advanced system offers full-scenario NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) for high-speed and urban driving and also features the TianHeng Chassis with CDC electromagnetic active suspension, ensuring a smooth ride on all terrains.
Moreover, at the heart of the Q07 is the TianShu AI model, a multi-modal AI system integrated with the SDA TianShu architecture, offering a “central + regional” ring network framework. This enhances the driving experience with three key features, namely, TianShu Intelligent Driving, TianYu Smart Cockpit and TianHeng Chassis.
In terms of design, the Changan Qiyuan Q07 sports a bold appearance with a dynamic front grille, sleek raised lines on the hood and full-color DLP projection headlights that provide a maximum projection size of 150 inches. The side profile features a nearly flat roofline and the rear is adorned with dual-bar-type taillights and a distinctive two-stage high-mounted brake light.
Inside, the Q07 also boasts a minimalist and modern ambiance with a large 15.4-inch central control screen, a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, and clean dashboard lines. The rotating central screen enhances the user experience, offering 10 pre-set in-car scenarios with the option to create custom settings.
On top of that, for added comfort, the Changan Qiyuan Q07 features heated, ventilated, and massaging seats for both the driver and front passenger, along with a zero-gravity passenger seat. Additional luxuries include a panoramic sunroof, 256-color ambient lighting, a 16-speaker sound system and advanced AR-HUD support.
Powering the Q07 is the Smart New Blue Whale 3.0 hybrid system, offering both 1.5 turbocharged and 1.5 N.A engine options. The 1.5T engine makes 110kW of power with a pure electric range of 215km and an overall range of over 1400km. Additionally, it features super-fast charging capabilities, allowing for a 30 to 80 percent charge in just 15 minutes.
