Fans of the Mazda MX-5 will be thrilled to know that the iconic nameplate turns 35 this year and Bermaz Motor, the official distributor of Mazda in Malaysia, has unveiled the Mazda MX-5 35th Anniversary Edition, to celebrate over three decades of this iconic design and thrilling driving experiences.
Moreover, since its introduction in 1989, the Mazda MX-5 was the perfect representation of mazda’s design philosophy of Jinba-Ittai, perfect harmony between driver and machine and with each generation, the MX-5 has consistently evolved while maintaining its identity, delivering pure, driver-focused performance.


The Mazda MX-5 35th Anniversary Edition takes this legacy to new heights, offering a limited-edition model with a blend of classic design and modern upgrades. One highlight of this special edition version is its exclusive Artisan Red Premium exterior, a result of Mazda’s advanced Takuminuri painting technology.
On top of that, the exterior also features a serialized 35th Anniversary badge, body-colored rearview mirrors and 17-inch Bright Metallic alloy wheels. Inside, the 35th Anniversary Edition showcases a Sports tan interior with leather seats, matching tan accents and the special edition logo embroidered on the floor mats and headrests.






As for upgrades, the 2025 Mazda MX-5 comes with several design enhancements, such as new LED headlamps, a revised meter cluster for better legibility and a larger 8.8-inch infotainment system with voice recognition and USB-C ports. It also includes advanced safety features, such as the RCTA for a more assuring ride.

The 2025 Mazda MX-5 also introduces the new DSC-TRACK mode and Asymmetric LSD, offering enhanced control during spirited driving. The Electronic Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) system has been updated for smoother, more precise handling.
