So how much will the GAC EMKOO cost here in Malaysia and will it sell like hot cakes?
GAC has been quite quiet lately, hasn’t it? For a while, the brand has been very active and even launched the GS3 EMZOOM here in Malaysia in grand fashion but after that, we did not hear a lot from the brand. Well, I have a feeling we are about to hear a lot more from the Chinese automaker once again.
This is because the GAC EMKOO has recently been spotted undergoing tests in Malaysia without any camouflage, signaling that its launch in the country could be imminent. This compact SUV combines sleek design with impressive performance, making it an exciting prospect for the Malaysian market and it looks amazing.
Moreover, the GAC EMKOO is powered by a hybrid engine featuring the brand’s GMC 2.0 integrated dual-motor multi-gear DHT, making 138kW of power and a peak torque of 180Nm. It is engineered for both efficiency and power, with a fuel consumption rate of 20.8 km/L, ensuring a balance of performance and economy.
The GAC EMKOO also features exceptional range for both city and highway drives and its weight ranges from 1540kg to 1670kg, depending on the variant, though Malaysia will likely only get 1 variant. In terms of design, the EMKOO stands out with its unique and aerodynamic aesthetics, enhanced by smart features like energy absorption technology for better safety.
On top of that, the GAC EMKOO’s stability and handling are optimized for all road conditions, providing a smooth, confident ride. The SUV’s interior boasts a tech-forward cockpit, with a versatile assistant and advanced connectivity features tailored for a user-friendly experience. This seems to be what drivers are into these days so it should be a huge selling point.
Considering we have already seen the GAC EMKOO being tested without camouflage in Malaysia, it is likely that the Chinese brand plans to launch this stylish SUV in the country soon. If it is priced right, it could likely sell itself considering how good it looks and the technology and features it packs inside, do you agree?
