EON is giving the victims of this devastating fire a ray of hope in these dark times
By now, everyone in Malaysia will have heard of the devastating fire that took place in Putra Heights. As far as we know, this was due to a gas pipeline leak and, of course, the victims are very heavily affected as they have lost everything in the flames. THankfully, our signature Malaysian hospitality and compassion shines through and the victims are getting help.

The latest company to join the efforts in helping the victims of the fire is Edaran Otomobil Nasional Berhad (EON), which will provide victims of the fire with a total of 62 vehicles free of charge for one month. This initiative aims to support the affected families and the organizations that are assisting with the recovery and relief efforts.
Moreover, a total of 40 vehicles will be allocated to families whose cars were destroyed or severely damaged in the fire. These vehicles, sourced from EON’s trusted retail brands including Proton, Mitsubishi and Volkswagen, include sedans, SUVs and even MPVs. Additionally, EON’s car rental subsidiary, Avis Malaysia, is supplying more vehicles to support the victims as well.

In a further effort to aid in the recovery, 22 pick-up trucks and “smart” electric vehicles (EVs) will be provided to government agencies and relief organizations, helping them to deliver supplies and assist those in need during this challenging time.
Akkbar Danial, the CEO of EON, expressed the brand’s commitment to the community, saying, “Many families have lost not only their homes but also their main means of transportation due to this devastating fire. As one of the largest multi-brand vehicle dealerships in the country, we are fortunate to be in a position to provide immediate relief during this difficult period.”

On top of that, EON and Akkbar offer their well-wishes for a swift recovery for the injured and strength for those rebuilding their lives. Akkbar also expressed his gratitude to the Selangor Menteri Besar’s Office, Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat (Social Welfare Department), and the Subang Jaya Municipal Council for their support in this initiative.
In times like these we are all reminded how fragile life really is and how quickly anything could go wrong and the absolutely disastrous effects these calamities can have. As such, we should all remember that at the end of the day, we are all in this together and we should all learn to be helpful to one another, especially in times like these.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and DSF would also like to congratulate EON as well as every individual and group offering their aid to the victims, we pray they recover quickly and get back to some semblance of normal as soon as possible.
