The Ducati and Lamborghini partnership has yielded some of the coolest bikes and cars
We have known for some time that the Ducati and Lamborghini partnership has given us some of the most special and stylish cars and bikes in modern times but how many of us actually know the story behind why these two Italian ions decided to work together? Well, the short answer would be to focus on design and performance, now let’s look at the long answer.
Known for their shared passion for racing excellence and the spirit of Made in Italy, the two Italian brands are once again joining forces to debut an exclusive new creation during Milano Design Week 2025, on 9 April to continue to push the envelope on style, design, performance and of course, Italian flair in the way only Ducati and Lamborghini can.
Moreover, the partnership between Ducati and Lamborghini has already given us groundbreaking projects that have captured the imagination of collectors and enthusiasts worldwide. At the heart of each collaboration lies a fusion of cutting-edge technology, unmistakable style, and a relentless pursuit of performance.
The journey of collaboration between the two brands began in 2020 with the launch of the Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini, a stunning limited edition motorcycle inspired by the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37. Only 630 units were produced, and each model was a celebration of Italian craftsmanship.
Built on the base of the Ducati Diavel 1260 S, this special edition bike also featured extensive use of lightweight carbon fiber, a material common in many Lamborghini models. The motorcycle reflected the sharp, angular lines of its automotive counterpart, thanks to the creative collaboration between the style centres of both brands.
On top of that, following the success of this special edition model, the partnership evolved with the launch of the Ducati Streetfighter V4 Lamborghini in 2022. Inspired by the Lamborghini Huracán STO, this limited run model of 630 units, (with 63 more bikes reserved exclusively for Lamborghini customers), once again brought supercar styling and performance to the bike world.
Now, Ducati and Lamborghini are set to reveal the third collaborative piece of their partnership that promises to continue the legacy of blending extreme performance with unmistakable Italian style. This new project will be unveiled at Milano Design Week, an event synonymous with innovation and design excellence.
Whatever Ducati and Lamborghini have cooked up this time, rest assured it will instantly magnetise everyone’s eyes and suck all the air out of one’s lungs with its beauty and what is likely to be bonkers performance figures too.
