Auto ConneXion-Ford has accelerated its growth momentum to serve more Malaysians

These days it is just not enough for a carmaker to simply make good cars, image is also important. This has inadvertently led to more companies pouring in more and more resources into their corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Of course tax write offs play a big part too but let’s pretend big corporations actually care about us little ants for a bit.

Sime Darby Auto ConneXion-Ford (Auto ConneXion), the sole distributor of Ford vehicles in Malaysia, is an exemplary automaker in this regard because the brand keeps putting in more effort into the betterment of the community all across the globe so clearly, it is not all about the cash for this brand.

Moreover, in 2024, Auto ConneXion continued to experience great sales and the year’s highlights included the highly successful launches of the Ford Ranger StormTrak and XLT Plus Special Edition, both of which garnered significant attention and solidified Ford’s reputation for offering innovative and high-quality vehicles.

To enhance accessibility and convenience for customers, Auto ConneXion also expanded its presence across Malaysia. Over the past year, nine new showrooms were opened, and several existing facilities were upgraded. Notable additions include the Millennium showroom in Kuantan, 2S centres in Kapit and Mukah, and the largest 3S showroom in Penang. 

Auto ConneXion has also implemented the Ford Guest Experience digital processes across its dealer network to optimise efficiency. The company’s branches in Ara Damansara, Petaling Jaya, Kuching and Penang are already benefiting from these digital enhancements. It is unique experiences like this that really set the Ford brand apart in customers’ minds.

On top of that, Auto ConneXion’s achievements in 2024 were acknowledged through multiple prestigious awards. For example, the Ford Ranger Platinum won two MARii Car of the Year Awards: People’s Choice Award and Best Pickup Truck of the Year. Additionally, the Ford Ranger Raptor Bi-Turbo Diesel was named Pick-up Truck of the Year at VOTY 2024.

Auto ConneXion was also honoured with the 2024 President’s Award for Dealer NPS and Parts Purchase during the Ford Asia Pacific Distribution Market Awards Night, recognising its commitment to exceptional customer service and excellence and received the “Salute to Dealers” Award, one of only six global dealers for its commitment to community improvement.

While certain brands are suffering in the U.S as a result of its CEO being hated causing owners to trade in their vehicles in unheard of numbers, brands like Auto ConneXion are always trying to give the consumer more and will continue to do so in the future.
