Who is to blame when a 12-year-old is allowed to ride a motorcycle without license
A few days ago, New Straits Times reported that on March 31st and elderly man was killed after a 12-year-old boy on a motorcycle crashed into the elderly man who was riding a motorcycle in Kampung Sri Aman.

Johor Baru Utara police chief, Assistant Commissioner Balveer Singh Mahindar Singh said the accident happened when the victim, 65, was riding home on his motorcycle.
“The accident is believed to have occurred when the victim’s motorcycle was hit on the right side by a motorcycle ridden by a 12-year-old boy.

“At the time of the incident, the elderly man was said to have been coming out of the Lorong Sentosa junction, while the boy was on the main road of the straight lane,” he said.
We have often seen motorcycle riders in the city not using helmets and even worse, parents allowing their young children who do not have a license to ride their motorcycle around the neighbourhood, on public roads where cars and trucks are on the move.

They seem to ignore the possible dangers and this continues to get worse as the law seems helpless in controlling this. www.dsf.my has highlighted this issue previously, many times to get some awareness, instead we have been given warnings by motorcyclists to be silent ‘or else’!
Trying to save a life or two means nothing to these law breakers and the sad part is this, they all think ‘GOD’ will save them from harm!
(by the way, the main picture we shared shows a young boy, probably 11 to 13 year old riding a motorcycle with his young sister and BOTH not wearing helmets).
