PDRM will now also be able to chase you down in a Peugeot 408 thanks to Stellantis
We have all seen the police chase down criminals in Honda Civics, Proton Inspiras and even a Perodua Myvi, but now, thanks to Stellantis Malaysia, in collaboration with Public Star (Peugeot Seremban), have delivered 2 units of the Peugeot 408 to the Malaysian Royal Police Force (PDRM) as part of an innovative Proof of Concept (PoC) initiative.
Talk about getting the job done in style. The Peugeot 408, a model known for its cutting-edge technology and stellar performance, will now be tested in actual law enforcement operations. The PDRM will evaluate the vehicles in a variety of demanding situations to assess their capabilities, ensuring they meet the high standards required for police duties.
Moreover, this Proof of Concept initiative aims to provide valuable insights into how these advanced vehicles can support Malaysia’s law enforcement agencies in enhancing their operational efficiency and effectiveness all while looking as stylish as can be. Plus, it is going to be hilarious when we see the Peugeot 408 in a chase as it looks so good.
The Peugeot 408 was chosen for this initiative due to its superior performance, safety features and suitability for the rigorous demands of law enforcement work. It is expected that the Proof of Concept program will provide key data that can inform future vehicle choices for police fleets across Malaysia.

The successful collaboration between Stellantis Malaysia, Public Star, and PDRM is a huge step toward integrating advanced automotive solutions into Malaysia’s law enforcement. As the Proof of Concept initiative progresses, both parties remain committed to ensuring that the Peugeot 408 and similar models can contribute positively to the evolving needs of the police, ultimately ensuring safer communities across the country.
