For those unaware, MyDigital ID is a recent National Digital Identity initiative by the Malaysian government designed to provide Malaysians with a secure and seamless way to access both government and private digital services. MyDigital ID also places a heavy emphasis on privacy and security for all Malaysians.

Moreover, MyDigital ID also establishes a new standard for digital identity verification, addressing the growing need for robust security measures in the fast-evolving mobility and digital landscape. Perodua’s President and CEO, Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad, emphasized the significance of this collaboration as the first of its kind within Malaysia’s automotive industry.

This partnership is also part of Perodua’s broader initiative to create a more integrated and convenient experience for Malaysian consumers. Over the last six months, Perodua has formed additional partnerships with major Malaysian entities, including Petronas, TNB and Telekom Malaysia Bhd, to offer a wide range of products and services.

MyDigital ID’s Chief Operating Officer, Mohd Azuddin Parman, noted that this collaboration plays a crucial role in accelerating digital transformation, not just for Perodua, but within the automotive industry as a whole. He emphasized that digital identity verification is key to providing secure, seamless, and convenient digital experiences.
