Since the Ducati XDiavel V4 is being produced now, how many will Malaysia get?
Ducati has officially begun production of its XDiavel V4 sport cruiser that blends cutting-edge performance with the signature Ducati style. Manufactured at the Borgo Panigale plant, the XDiavel V4 serves as a reinterpretation of the iconic XDiavel 1260. The only question now is, how many of these beauties will we see in Malaysia.
This new model combines the dynamic power of the V4 engine with a comfortable cruiser riding position and the bold style Ducati is known for. The XDiavel V4 is built for enthusiasts seeking both unmatched performance and style.
Moreover, it offers a perfect balance for cruiser lovers who appreciate a relaxed riding stance that has always defined the XDiavel. With the 168 horsepower V4 Granturismo engine, the XDiavel V4 offers exceptional acceleration, going from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds. The bike’s 240/45 rear tyre and tailored gear ratios ensure impressive thrust and agility.
The V4 Granturismo engine, derived from MotoGP, stands out with unique features like a counter-rotating crankshaft. With 168hp and 12.8kgm of torque, it delivers both smooth low-rev responsiveness and powerful torque across the entire rev range.
Coupled with a lightweight 229 kg kerb weight and high-end components such as a monocoque frame, fully adjustable suspension, and Brembo Stylema calipers on 330 mm discs, the XDiavel V4 offers agility and precision that’s unexpected for a sport cruiser. This enhances the overall riding pleasure and ensures safety in any riding situation.
On top of that, comfort has also been significantly improved in the XDiavel V4. The rear suspension offers 25mm more travel than its predecessor, the Ducati XDiavel 1260, while the saddle is wider, thicker, and better profiled. Additionally, the passenger seat is 30 percent wider, 50 percent longer, and 25 mm thicker, providing more comfort and space.
The XDiavel V4 features a comprehensive electronics package, including Ducati Traction Control (DTC) in Cornering version, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), ABS Cornering, Launch Control, and Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) 2.0. These systems are easily controlled through the backlit handlebar controls and the new 6.9” TFT colour dashboard.
The dashboard also supports Bluetooth connectivity for calls, messages, music, and Turn-by-turn navigation via the Ducati Link App. Available from May 2025 in European dealerships, the XDiavel V4 will be offered in two stunning metallic colours, Burning Red and Black Lava. So will we see it here in Malaysia after Europe?
