BMW is proud to prove how good its EV models are as they maintained good sales figures
Electric vehicles (EVs), love them or hate them, no one can deny that the majority of car owners worldwide do seem to gravitate to them and German automaker, BMW, has proven just how desirable their EVs really are as the market challenges that presented themselves in 2024 which saw EV sales decline did not affect BMW as badly and the brand still managed strong sales.

BMW reported a significant +13.5 percent increase in fully-electric vehicle (BEV) sales, delivering over 426,000 BEVs. Both BMW and MINI brands saw remarkable growth, with the BMW brand delivering 368,523 BEVs (+11.6 percent) and MINI achieving a remarkable 24.3 percent growth with 56,181 BEVs sold.
Moreover, Rolls-Royce also saw exceptional performance, with BEV deliveries up by 479.6 percent. Jochen Goller, BMW Group’s Member of the Board responsible for Customer, Brands, and Sales, expressed confidence in sustaining BEV growth into 2025, bolstered by a broader product lineup. This growth comes despite challenges such as supply chain disruptions and softening demand in key markets like China.

Throughout 2024, BMW Group’s global sales reached 2.45 million vehicles, with electrified vehicles making up 24.2 percent of the total sales, or 593,215 units. The company’s strategy to lead in electrification has been particularly evident in Europe, where they expanded market share and achieved double-digit growth in countries like Italy, France, and the UK.
