Sime Darby Auto ConneXion-Ford (Auto ConneXion) made history by winning the esteemed ‘Salute to Dealers’ 2025 award from the Ford Motor Company. This prestigious award is only given to six dealers globally, highlighting Auto ConneXion’s dedication to impactful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, kudos to Auto ConneXion on this monumental occasion.
The CSR initiatives Auto ConneXion focuses on are education, healthcare, elderly welfare, food security and environmental sustainability. For over ten years now, Auto ConneXion has been committed to giving back to society, carrying out numerous community-focused initiatives. Among its key CSR projects are the Clean Water Project, the Ford Mobile Clinic, and The Lost Food Project.
Moreover, the Clean Water Project was a collaboration between Auto ConneXion and MyFundAction, to provide clean and safe water to underserved communities in Gerik, Perak. Auto ConneXion volunteers installed a sustainable water tank system, ensuring a reliable water supply for around 70 Orang Asli families.
Another significant Auto ConneXion CSR partnership involves The Lost Food Project. Auto ConneXion and Ford Philanthropy contributed USD45,000 (approximately RM200,000). This partnership provided 855,000 nutritious meals to those in need, with Auto ConneXion volunteers contributing the equivalent to 10,914 meals.
On top of that, Auto ConneXion also focuses on enhancing healthcare access, particularly for rural and flood-affected communities. Through a collaboration with Yayasan Sime Darby and Ford Philanthropy, Auto ConneXion helped launch the Ford Mobile Clinic in partnership with MyFundAction.
This fully equipped mobile clinic provides essential healthcare services to Orang Asli villages and flood-affected areas. The initiative also saw Auto ConneXion and Yayasan Sime Darby donate a Ford Ranger, while Ford Philanthropy contributed USD55,000 (roughly RM250,000) towards the clinic’s setup. The clinic is expected to benefit over 2,200 individuals in 2025.
