The sixth-generation CR-V, launched in December 2023, has particularly excelled with its hybrid variant. The 2.0L e:HEV RS model contributed significantly to the vehicle’s success, accounting for 20% of total CR-V sales and commanding an overwhelming 87% share of the mid-size SUV hybrid segment.

Honda Malaysia’s Managing Director and CEO, Hironobu Yoshimura, attributes this success to the model’s advanced features and strong market acceptance. The E variant emerged as the customer favorite among petrol options, representing 40% of total sales.

The latest CR-V combines powerful performance with efficient hybrid technology. The 2.0L e:HEV powertrain delivers an impressive 335Nm of torque and 184PS of maximum power, while the 1.5L VTEC Turbo Engine variant offers 193PS and 243Nm of torque. The V variant features Real Time AWD, ensuring optimal control across various driving conditions.

Design-wise, the new CR-V showcases a bold exterior with distinctive features including a mesh pattern front grille, full LED headlights and taillights, and front LED sequential turn signals. The premium e:HEV RS variant adds active cornering lights and an active shutter grille, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics.

Interior comfort remains a key selling point, with the CR-V offering generous space and premium amenities. The cabin features ambient lighting in higher trim levels, while the e:HEV RS variant boasts a Bose Premium Sound System with 12 speakers and a 10.2-inch TFT meter. The versatile cargo space provides 589 liters of storage, expandable to 1,072 liters with folded rear seats.

Safety features are comprehensive across all variants, including the latest Honda SENSING technology and Honda CONNECT. The e:HEV models receive additional safety enhancements such as Adaptive Driving Beam and a 360-degree camera system.
