The most dynamic Porsche 911 Carrera S is also a looker, do you want one?
Porsche is relaunching the 911 Carrera S, bridging the gap between the 911 Carrera and the high-performance 911 Carrera GTS T-Hybrid. With significant upgrades to its powertrain, the Carrera S now delivers performance previously associated with the 911 Carrera GTS of the previous generation.
It boasts an extensive list of standard features and a wider range of customisation options, making it a compelling addition to the iconic Carrera model family. The Porsche 911 Carrera S is available in both Coupé and Cabriolet versions. At the heart of the 911 Carrera S is a re-engineered 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged six-cylinder boxer engine.
Moreover, this engine now produces 480PS of power and 530Nm of torque, marking an increase of 22 kW (30 PS) over its predecessor. Porsche has achieved this boost in power and efficiency by installing new turbochargers and optimising charge-air cooling. The result is improved performance and lower emissions.
The Carrera S Coupé accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 308 km/h. The power is delivered through an eight-speed Porsche dual-clutch transmission (PDK), ensuring smooth and responsive driving. Porsche has also enhanced the Carrera S’ standard equipment.
Notable additions also include staggered 20 or 21-inch Carrera S wheels, a sports exhaust system with silver tailpipes, and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+), which is not available on the base Carrera. The new brake system, borrowed from the 911 Carrera GTS, features red brake callipers and large 408mm front and 380mm rear discs, offering exceptional braking performance.
On top of that, performance options such as the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) system and the PASM sports suspension, which lowers the ride height by 10 millimetres and adds rear-wheel steering, are also available for an even more dynamic driving experience.
Inside, the 911 Carrera S offers a luxurious and refined cabin. Standard features include a black leather interior, with smooth-finish leather on the seats, dashboard, door panels, and glove box lid. Optional contrast stitching in Crayon adds a touch of elegance. The car also comes with high-end standard features such as Matrix LED headlights and a wireless smartphone charger.
For those seeking additional performance, the Sport Chrono package, including the Porsche Track Precision app, is available, ideal for enthusiasts who frequent track days. With its impressive blend of performance, luxury, and advanced technology, the 911 Carrera S sets a new benchmark in the sports car segment.
