The launch of its first model, the MODA Sporter-S, marks a significant milestone in Malaysia’s rapidly growing scooter market and sets the stage for the company’s expansion within the ASEAN region.

Moreover, known for their affordability, practicality, and versatility, scooters have become the preferred mode of transportation in many urban areas, especially as they offer an efficient solution to navigating congested cities. Countries like Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam are seeing scooters dominate over 70 percent of total motorcycle sales.
Malaysia’s market is also expanding as consumers shift towards more fuel-efficient and eco-friendly transportation options. It is projected that the scooter market in Malaysia will generate US$0.51 billion in revenue in 2024, growing at a CAGR of 3.98 percent, reaching USD0.62 billion (about RM2,790,367,262) by 2029.
Looking ahead, MODA plans to expand its product range by introducing more models to cater to different scooter segments in Malaysia. The MODA Sporter-S is a standout in the market, thanks to its sportbike-inspired design, which distinguishes it from the typical maxi and adventure scooters currently popular in Malaysia. The Sporter-S offers superior performance, with a 250cc engine that delivers 24.8hp of power, making it one of the most powerful scooters in its class.
Designed for long-distance travel, the Sporter-S is equipped with a 13-liter fuel tank and spacious under-seat storage that can hold two full-sized helmets. Additional features include ultra-bright Matrix LED headlights, a smart key system, wireless connectivity for mobile devices, and a 6.2-inch color TFT screen for navigation and calls.
