GWM Malaysia has previewed 2 new exciting cars coming in 2025, do you like them?
GWM Malaysia has joined a whole slew of other automakers in tickling the automotive community with a few exciting cars either being launched or previewed for the Malaysian market at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2024. GWM has previewed the TANK 500 and it is expected to debut in the Malaysian market in 2025.
The GWM TANK 500, following the success of the TANK 300, represents a leap forward in off-road luxury SUVs. This 7-seater is designed to excel both on and off the road, blending robust engineering with sleek, modern aesthetics. It measures 5,078mm in length, 1,934mm in width, 1,905mm in height and has a 2850 mm wheelbase, offering a commanding presence.
Moreover, powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder hybrid engine, paired with a 9-speed hybrid automatic transmission, the GWM TANK 500 delivers a total output of 25 kW of power and 648Nm of torque. Its impressive 36.9° approach angle further enhances its off-roading capabilities as well.
With over 34 years of experience in car manufacturing and 27 years of international expansion, GWM is now present in over 170 countries, serving 14 million customers globally. The company’s approach, focusing on four globalisations: locally built, locally operated, globally cultivated and an integrated supply chain, has been instrumental in driving GWM’s growth.
From January to November 2024, GWM achieved overseas sales of 411,848 units, marking a 45.77 percent year-on-year increase. This achievement highlights the brand’s shift into a phase of global expansion. In Malaysia, GWM has experienced impressive growth, with the HAVAL H6 HEV, its first Completely Knocked Down (CKD) model, delivering 600 units.
The company’s collaboration with EP Manufacturing Berhad (EPMB) ensures that GWM vehicles adhere to global quality standards, providing Malaysian consumers with high-quality, locally assembled cars.
