Don’t forget to sign up and experience off-road fun with Ford Raptor Rev today
Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (Auto ConneXion), the exclusive distributor of Ford in Malaysia, has officially revealed that the highly anticipated Raptor Rev, Malaysia’s first premier off-road experience, will be held on 11 and 12 January 2025. This event, exclusive to Ford Ranger Raptor owners, promises a day of thrilling activities.
In conjunction with this announcement, Auto ConneXion-Ford has launched a dedicated event microsite, where only 50 spots are available for owners to register. The Raptor Rev will take place at Bay 13, Sepang Circuit, Selangor, from 7AM to 7PM, offering participants an unforgettable day of adventure.
Moreover, the event will feature a variety of immersive training sessions, including off-roading theories, suspension techniques, tyres, jumping, drifting, and Baja lap training. There will also be practical 4×4 obstacle trails to challenge participants’ skills. To further elevate the experience, Patrick McConchie, a Ford expert, will fly in from Australia to conduct a special workshop on the Ranger Raptor’s FOX suspension.
After completing the theoretical and practical training, participants will compete in an exciting Autocross Challenge, testing their speed and precision against the clock. The winner of the challenge will take home a RM3,000 fuel voucher.
Members of the public are also invited to join the festivities and witness the impressive performance of the Ford Ranger Raptor firsthand. “We are excited to invite our local Ranger Raptor owners to this exclusive event, where they can fully explore their vehicle’s capabilities through an immersive off-road experience.” said Turse Zuhair, Managing Director of Auto ConneXion-Ford.
On top of that, early bird registration is now open for Raptor owners until 13 December, with spots available at an early bird fee of RM275 (regular fee: RM350). The registration fee covers a personalised Limited Edition Raptor Rev t-shirt and cap, full-board meals and beverages, access to workshops on off-road driving and vehicle performance and entry into the Autocross Challenge.
The event is open to the public, with non-Raptor owners welcome to attend as walk-in visitors free of charge. The first 100 online registrants will receive complimentary F&B vouchers for use at on-site food trucks. Event highlights include hot laps, where participants can enjoy thrilling rides on the Baja course with experienced off-road instructors and more.
BFGoodrich, the renowned American tyre brand, is the event’s main partner and will provide technical support through tyre talk sessions. Visitors will also have the chance to explore BFGoodrich’s booth, featuring their newly launched KO3 tyres, designed for exceptional durability and performance.
