The facelifted Honda Civic sports many stylish exterior updates as well
Honda Malaysia has officially opened bookings for the highly anticipated New facelifted Civic, set to be launched in January 2025. This new model is poised to elevate the brand’s legacy in the C-segment, combining advanced technology, enhanced performance, and an innovative design.
The New Civic is expected to further redefine the segment, offering a superior driving experience that will appeal to those seeking both style and substance. The Honda Civic holds a special place in the hearts of Malaysian drivers. Since the introduction of the 11th-generation model in 2022, the Civic has sold over 28,000 units in Malaysia.
Moreover, it has also been the dominant player in the non-national C-segment for eight consecutive years, achieving an impressive 70 percent market share as of October 2024. This success is a testament to the Civic’s enduring popularity and reputation for reliability, performance, and value.
Mr. Hironobu Yoshimura, Managing Director and CEO of Honda Malaysia, commented, “The Civic has long been a symbol of Honda’s dedication to innovation and driving pleasure. With the introduction of the New Civic, we aim to further strengthen our market position by delivering a vehicle that combines cutting-edge features, dynamic performance, and stylish design — offering a holistic driving experience that will redefine how we drive in the modern age.”
On top of that, the New Civic will be available in two RS variants, namely the e:HEV RS and the Petrol RS. Both variants feature sporty design enhancements, with the e:HEV RS boasting a body-colored front grille extension and lower grille garnishes, while the Petrol RS gets black-painted grille accents.
The Civic e:HEV RS also comes with a distinctive 18-inch Matte Grey Alloy Wheel design that amplifies its road presence. Under the hood, the e:HEV RS is powered by an advanced 2.0L e:HEV hybrid powertrain, producing a maximum output of 184PS and 315Nm of torque.
In contrast, the Petrol RS variant is equipped with a 1.5L VTEC Turbocharged engine, delivering 182PS and 240Nm of torque, ensuring impressive fuel efficiency and performance. Both models offer an unparalleled driving experience in their respective categories.
What’s more, safety is a top priority, with the New Civic coming standard with Honda SENSING, which includes a suite of nine advanced safety features. The Honda CONNECT system further enhances the ownership experience by providing seamless integration of safety, security, and convenience via smartphone connectivity.
