Wu Huixiao shared her insights on the future of smart technology in electric vehicles
The Great Wall Motor company is more than a automotive powerhouse, they are also a leading company in ‘smart technology’ which is getting more prominence in new electric and also plug-in hybrid vehicles.
The CTO of GWM (Great Wall Motor), Wu Huixiao (Nicole), recently made an appearance in the 2024 Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii, presenting GWM’s latest achievements in the field of smart technology to top global enterprises and media.
“We are dedicated to providing customers with high-quality, intelligent driving experiences. We are also the best practitioners in the field of smart full-power solutions.
To meet global user demands, we have established R&D and production facilities in multiple countries, and created an integrated industrial chain that covers everything from automotive manufacturing to critical components.”
With the local, for the local. GWM’s vision is to offer intelligent, safe, and reliable products for users worldwide.
Meanwhile, just last month, Wei Jianjun, Chairman of GWM, announced that the company’s independently developed Zijing M100 chip has been successfully lit up. Zijing M100 chip is the first automotive-grade chip developed based on the RISC-V architecture in China.
Additionally, at the same event, Nicole, Wu Huixiao, said that the Zijin M100 CoreMark reached 2.1; and that the silicon intellectual property, wafer manufacturing, and packaging testing were all done domestically in China. CoreMark is an industry-standard benchmark that measures the performance of microcontrollers (MCUs) and central processing units (CPUs) in embedded systems.
By the way, did you know that the latest GWM SUV in Malaysia comes packing a hybrid powertrain that just blows the competition right out of the water.
Under the hood of the Haval H6 HEV is a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-pot and two-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) pairing, which makes the headlines from it outputting a combined 243 PS and a whopping 530 Nm of torque.
This thus enables it to claim a class-leading century sprint time of 7.7 seconds, while also touting the possibility of 1,000 km between fill ups (of its 61-litre tank) from its fuel consumption figure of just 5.8 l/100 km. The GWM Haval H6 HEV which was launched just months ago in Malaysia is priced from RM139,800.
