Perodua sales has now taken another step towards greater customer satisfaction
Perodua Sales Sdn Bhd (Perodua Sales) has signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with Petronas Dagangan Berhad (Petronas Dagangan) and Gentari Sdn Bhd to enhance customer experience by integrating various services.
The first MoU, between Perodua Sales, Petronas Lubricants Marketing Sdn Bhd (PLMMSB), Mesra Retail & Cafe Sdn Bhd (MESRA) and Setel Ventures Sdn Bhd (Setel), will introduce new services at Perodua service centres.
Moreover, this includes integrating Setel’s seamless digital payment feature into Perodua’s UFirst app, setting up MESRA outlets for added convenience, and establishing Perodua service centres at selected Petronas stations.
Perodua President and CEO, Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad, emphasised that Perodua and PLMMSB have enjoyed a successful 20-year partnership, which will now be expanded to benefit customers. PLMMSB has been the sole lubricant provider to Perodua since 2004. This collaboration will also focus on sustainability, in line with Malaysia’s green mobility shift.
The second MoU, signed with Gentari, will also see Gentari set up electric vehicle (EV) charging facilities at Perodua service centres, supporting the upcoming launch of Perodua’s EV models. Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin highlighted that this partnership would help customers transition to EVs smoothly. Gentari’s CEO, Shah Yang Razalli, expressed excitement over Perodua’s vision to launch an affordable EV by 2025, aiming to improve EV charging accessibility and enhance the customer experience for future Perodua EV owners.
On top of that, the collaboration will also involve integrating charging facilities at Petronas stations, offering EV subscriptions and home charging solutions, and seamless connectivity with Gentari’s Go platform.
Petronas Dagangan Managing Director and CEO Azrul Osman Rani stated that the expanded collaboration would strengthen their shared commitment to enhancing customer experiences across various touchpoints, from lubricants to digital convenience. Currently, Gentari operates Malaysia’s largest direct current (DC) charging network, with over 175 DC charging points.
Petronas has over 1,000 stations, while Perodua operates 194 sales and 209 service centres nationwide. Perodua Sales is a wholly owned subsidiary of Perodua, responsible for sales, after-sales services, spare parts, accessories, body and paint services, and product marketing.
