GAC Expands Presence with New 3S Center in Melaka
WTC Automotif (M) Sdn Bhd (WTCA), the official distributor of GAC vehicles in Malaysia, has announced the opening of its GAC Melaka 3S (Sales, Service, and Spare Parts) center. This facility, operated by Waritan Automobile Sdn Bhd, is intended to strengthen GAC’s presence in Malaysia’s southern region.
Located in the town of Melaka, the center accommodates both GAC Motor and AION brands. The facility features a 443-square-meter showroom and a 335-square-meter service reception area with four workshop bays. Customers can visit the showroom daily, with operating hours extending from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm on weekdays, slightly reduced on weekends and public holidays. Service hours are available six days a week, excluding Sundays and public holidays.
Promotions for the GS3 EMZOOM Line-Up
To coincide with this launch, WTCA is promoting its updated 2024 GAC GS3 EMZOOM line-up through the “Rev Up with EMZOOM” campaign, running until December 31, 2024. Customers purchasing the GS3 EMZOOM can benefit from cash rebates ranging from RM5,000 to RM7,000, with promotional prices starting at RM111,800. Additional options include a Complimentary Maintenance Service and Smart Watch Key bundle.
The GS3 EMZOOM is available in three variants—Standard, Exclusive, and Premium R—priced between RM103,800 and RM126,800. All models are powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine paired with a seven-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. The engine delivers 177 PS and 270 Nm of torque, enabling the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.0 seconds. Fuel efficiency is rated at 5.9 liters per 100 km, meeting Energy Efficient Vehicle (EEV) standards.
Features and Warranty Coverage
Standard across all GS3 EMZOOM variants are features such as a 10.25-inch infotainment system, Blind Spot Vision, and electronic parking brake. The Premium R variant includes additional technologies such as Fusion Automatic Parking Assist, a panoramic sunroof, and multi-color ambient lighting.
Aesthetically, the GS3 EMZOOM showcases a “Mecha Wing” grille, Laser Eye Split LED headlights, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Interior highlights include a blue-and-black color scheme, segment-leading cabin space, and GAC’s crystal electronic gear shift.
All variants are covered by a five-year/150,000-km vehicle warranty. An additional seven-year/180,000-km engine and transmission warranty is available for the first 2,000 customers.
Strategic Expansion Plans
WTCA plans to expand its GAC and AION vehicle offerings in Malaysia over the next five years. This includes models with internal combustion engines, hybrids, and electric vehicles. The company aims to further integrate GAC’s “Where Craft Meets Technology” branding into its services and operations.
