Denza Z9 GT EV First Impression And Video In Changsha China

Denza Z9 GT will be the next model to be introduced in ASEAN

We happened to be in China on the official launch day of the Denza Z9 GT, however we were requested by the Denza public relations team to embargo the pictures and launch until November 1st 2024. Why? Well, Denza is coming to Malaysia and they PR team wanted to have the partnership signed and confirmed before news was released.

This means that the Denza Z9 GT right hand drive version is probably being developed as you read this for launch in ASEAN just like the Denza D9 full electric luxury MPV.

Incidentally, the popular Denza N7 is a sporty, intelligent, luxury SUV/Crossover and this was also on display in the Changsha Denza showroom.

Interesting fact, On July 3, Denza officially launched the Denza N7 pure electric coupe SUV in China. Within 24 hours of its launch, orders for the Denza N7 reached 11,687 units. Then, 6 weeks later, the orders moved up to 24,000 units.

Did you know that Denza brand was a joint venture between BYD and Mercedes-Benz, of which BYD was holding 90 percent and Mercedes-Benz was holding 10 percent?

Incidentally in August 2024, Mercedes-Benz gave up its 10 percent stake in Denza and it is now 100 percent owned by BYD.

Multiple BYD’s pioneering technologies are also put on display at the show, such as the e Platform 3.0, the Blade Battery, the e4 Platform, and the DiSus Intelligent Body Control System, etc.

The DiSus System, launched earlier this month, is the industry’s first intelligent Body Control System developed exclusively for NEVs, featuring a lineup of DiSus-C, DiSus-A, and DiSus-P. It provides a systemic solution to vertical motion control of vehicles for increased safety. The DiSus system will be available in products from Dynasty and Ocean series, Denza and Yangwang, redefining luxury cars in the new energy era.

This Denza offers two power versions: a single-motor and dual-motor four-wheel drive. Both versions are equipped with a 91.392 kWh power battery. The single-motor version delivers a maximum power of 230 kW and offers a CLTC cruising range of 702 km.

Meanwhile, in contrast, the dual-motor four-wheel drive version boasts a maximum power of 390 kW, can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds, and provides a CLTC cruising range of 630 km.
