Xpeng P7+ Officially Revealed In China With Next-Gen AD Platform

Will Malaysia also receive this very feature packed Xpeng P7+

The Xpeng P7+ electric liftback has been officially unveiled in China, gearing up for a market launch later this year. Xpeng claims it is the first vehicle to feature their next-generation autonomous driving platform. With an impressive range of up to 710km and a peak power output of 308hp, the P7+ aims to compete strongly in the electric vehicle (EV) market.

Founded in 2014, Xpeng is a prominent Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturer. The P7+ will be the latest addition to its growing lineup, which currently consists of six models. The liftback was revealed on 10 October 2024, showcasing the brand’s modern design ethos.

Moreover, in terms of design, the Xpeng P7+ adopts a family-oriented liftback format, featuring the latest iteration of the brand’s Robo Face design language. The front of the car incorporates an X-shaped styling with integrated LED running lights and headlights seamlessly placed within the front bumper.

The rear is distinguished by a single taillight unit, while the sides exhibit hidden door handles and a sleek slanted roofline. Customers can choose from five colour options, namely, silver, white, black, purple and beige. Measuring 5,056mm in length, 1,937mm in width, and 1,512mm in height, the Xpeng P7+ is classified as a mid-to-large liftback, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm..

On top of that, the second-row seats offer electric adjustments, ventilation, and massage functions (excluding the middle seat). An 8-inch screen caters to rear passengers, and the right rear seat includes a folding table. The trunk boasts a 4/6 folding ratio for added cargo versatility. Equipped with the advanced AI Eagle Eye Vision autonomous driving system, the P7+ shows significant improvements in perception and recognition speeds.

The P7+ will be offered in two power variants, namely an entry-level option making 241hp and a more powerful model making 308hp. Two LFP battery options provide either a 60.7 kWh capacity for a range of 620km of range or a 76.3kWh capacity for up to 710km, both of which are pretty decent and more than enough for most users.

With a consumption rate of 11kWh per 100 km, the P7+ incorporates a double wishbone suspension in the front and a multi-link independent suspension in the rear. The Xpeng P7+ will make its international debut at the Paris Motor Show on 14 October, with plans for a domestic launch later this year.
