MINI Malaysia Introduces All-Electric Aceman And Preview New MINI Cooper S 5-Door

MINI Malaysia is making big moves with it’s first all electric model and exclusive preview

MINI Malaysia has officially launched the New MINI Aceman, the brand’s first fully electric compact crossover, designed to embody sustainable urban mobility while retaining the classic MINI charm. Alongside it, they previewed the New MINI Cooper S 5-Door, which enhances practicality while building on the iconic 3-door model.

Benjamin Nagel, Managing Director of BMW Group Malaysia, expressed excitement about unveiling these models as reflections of MINI’s innovative spirit. The Aceman features an electric drive and follows the “Charismatic Simplicity” design philosophy, representing a modern take on the classic MINI driving experience. 

Moreover, the Aceman’s design includes a prominent octagonal grille, LED headlights, and sporty 19-inch wheels, emphasising its adventurous crossover identity. The interior is minimalist and sustainable, featuring a high-resolution 240mm round OLED touchscreen integrated into the dashboard and crafted from recycled materials. 

Comfort is prioritised, with spacious legroom and advanced features like a Head-Up Display, ensuring drivers can focus on the road. The MINI Aceman is powered by a synchronous motor making 218hp, enabling a 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 7.1 seconds. Its 54.2kWh battery provides a WLTP range of up to 406 kilometres, combining driving pleasure with sustainability. 

The vehicle also offers multiple charging options, including DC fast charging, and includes advanced driver assistance systems for added safety and convenience. The New MINI Cooper S 5-Door, meanwhile, adds versatility to the MINI lineup with two additional doors and a longer wheelbase for improved interior space. 

On top of that, it features the signature MINI design elements, such as round headlights and an octagonal grille, while the interior is adorned with sustainable materials and advanced technology, including a 240mm OLED touchscreen and a premium Harman Kardon sound system.

Powered by a 2.0-litre engine with 204hp, the Cooper S 5-Door achieves 0-100 km/h in 6.8 seconds. Its driving dynamics offer the classic MINI experience, optimised for spirited handling and comfort. Enhanced safety features ensure maximum driver support, including lane change warnings and active cruise control.

Both models will be available for viewing at authorised MINI dealerships starting 8 October 2024, with a showcase at major roadshows across Malaysia. The New MINI Aceman is priced at RM213,888, while the estimated price for the Cooper S 5-Door is RM293,000. MINI Malaysia also offers financing options and a comprehensive roadside assistance programs.
