MG Cyberster Now Open For Bookings With Public Debut At Auto Car Expo 2024

The MG Cyberster electric roadster is finally here but how much will it cost?

SAIC Motor Malaysia has officially opened bookings for the MG Cyberster, the brand’s first all-electric roadster, with an estimated price below RM350,000. This model will debut at the Auto Car Expo (ACE) 2024. The MG Cyberster is equipped with a dual motor all-wheel drive setup, making 503PS(375kW) of power and 725Nm of torque.

Its 77kWh battery enables impressive acceleration, reaching 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds, and offers a WLTP driving range of 446km. Charging options include a 7kW AC fast charger that takes about 10.5 hours to go from 10 percent to full, and it supports rapid charging at 150kW DC stations, achieving 10 to 80 percent in approximately 38 minutes.

Moreover, the Cyberster stands out with its low-profile silhouette, retractable soft top, and stylish frameless scissor doors that enhance accessibility. It features 20-inch Jetstream alloy wheels, striking red brake callipers, and automatic LED headlamps with daytime running lights for enhanced visibility.

Inside, the Cyberster boasts a sporty interior with leather sports seats, Alcantara inserts, and a Nappa leather-wrapped steering wheel. The infotainment system includes a 7-inch central touchscreen, a 10.25-inch driver display, and two additional 7-inch screens, all supported by an 8-speaker Bose audio system for an immersive listening experience.

On top of that, safety is prioritised with the MG Pilot Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which includes features like Front Collision Warning (FCW), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), and Blind Spot Detection (BSD), among others, ensuring a secure driving experience.

The MG Cyberster will be offered in four colours, namely, Dynamic Red, Camden Grey, Inca Yellow, and English White, with various interior combinations. At ACE 2024, attendees can also test drive the MG HS SUV, MG5 sedan, MG4 EV, and MG ZS EV SUV. So if you want to test drive any of these cars, you know what to do.

What’s more, pre-launch bookings for both the MG HS and Cyberster will be available, with experts on hand to discuss the company’s innovative approach to sustainable mobility. The Auto Car Expo (ACE) 2024 will take place on 26 and 27 October at the Setia City Convention Centre, marking a significant milestone for SAIC Motor Malaysia as it advances the future of mobility.
