Lynk & Co Unveils Its First EV, The 02 In China And Europe, Malaysia Next?

Lynk & Co is excited to unveil its first battery electric vehicle (BEV) for Europe, the all-new 02, known as the Z20 in China. This innovative five-door family EV is designed with a strong emphasis on user experience and advanced software integration, boasting an impressive electric driving range of up to 445km.
The launch of the 02 signifies a significant milestone in Lynk & Co’s strategic expansion into the electric vehicle market in Europe, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the brand. “The all-new 02 represents the next phase for Lynk & Co. We are not only expanding our business model but also growing our product portfolio and entering new markets.” says Nicolas López Appelgren, CEO of Lynk & Co International.
Moreover, “These strategic initiatives reflect our commitment to providing greater choice, flexibility, and accessibility for our customers.” He added. This statement underscores the brand’s dedication to innovation and consumer-focused design as it ventures into the rapidly evolving EV landscape.
The Lynk & Co 02 combines a sleek and modern exterior with a meticulously designed digital cockpit, ensuring a user-friendly experience. The interiors are crafted from recycled materials, showcasing the brand’s commitment to sustainability. With cutting-edge safety features and innovative car sharing capabilities, the 02 aims to redefine the concept of electric family vehicles in Europe.
On top of that, its engaging design and functionalities offer a sense of fun, catering to the needs of modern families seeking an eco-friendly driving experience. The design process for the 02 was uniquely collaborative, involving direct input from customers who own the 01 plug-in hybrid SUV.
This industry-first approach allowed users to significantly influence the car’s development, with over 6,000 messages collected via the Co function, an in-car app that enables feedback from customers. This level of engagement not only enhances the car’s appeal but also fosters a sense of community and shared ownership among Lynk & Co enthusiasts.
The Lynk & Co 02 will be available for online sales in Europe starting 11 October 2024, with prices beginning at €35,495 (about RM167,106).
