JAC Motors Introduces T9 Pick-Up: RM120K Full-Spec Diesel, RM200K BEV
The JAC T9 is available as a turbodiesel or a fully-electric high-specification pick-up truck.
JAC Motors has formally launched the T9 pick-up truck in Malaysia. While the brand has been operational in Malaysia with commercial vehicles, this pick-up truck’s introduction spells the company’s first foray into passenger car territory, particularly as the JAC T9 is a rather high-specification model that is already exported to Australia with Malaysia also getting the option for an all-electric powertrain.
There are also plans to introduce the plug-in hybrid petrol variant, but those plans will be unveiled in greater detail some time next year.
About the JAC T9
The T9 represents the company’s third generation of pick-up truck products, with the first generation being purely for commercial use, the second generation catering to mixed use and this one catering the a wide range of customers with powertrain options ranging from ICE, to REEV, to PHEV and even BEV.
For now, Malaysia is only getting the aforementioned ICE (diesel) and BEV (electric) models with an introductory price of below RM120,000 for the diesel and below RM200,000 for the electric for a limited number of units for those who book before the end of 2024.

That’s right there are two interior colour options but they are matched to one of five exterior paint options. Here are the combos you can choose from:

- Hammerhead Grey Metallic paint with Black Leather interior
- Karak Black Metallic paint with Black Leather interior
- Red Belly Red Metallic paint with Black Leather interior
- Stratus White non-Metallic paint with either Black OR Brown Leather interior
