GWM Malaysia Launches Haval H6 HEV For RM139,800
The Haval H6 HEV has been officially launched in Malaysia after a long wait.
The Haval H6 HEV has been launched in the Malaysian market after years of teasing and months of build-up. This SUV has been a sales success for the brand worldwide and even though it arrives late to Malaysia it’s got some unique selling points. GWM Malaysia has been waiting for contract manufacturer EPMB to get the production line running in Melaka and it appears things are now moving along nicely as the Haval H6 HEV has a solid price of RM139,800 and the sales campaign has begun in earnest.
For those who haven’t read our test drive impressions, the Haval H6 HEV is a C-segment SUV with a unique selling point under the hood. It is the only car in its class to combine a 1.5L 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with a high-powered electric motor for 243PS and 530Nm of torque.
The result is some extremely rapid acceleration. 0-100km/h takes just 7.7 seconds, which is class-leading. More importantly, it gets 5.8L/100km under ideal conditions, which is great considering its dimensions and weight class. It has a 560L boot that can be expanded to 1,485L with the rear seats folded down.
Besides that, the Haval H6 HEV also comes with a lot of high-tech features including a 12.3″ infotainment unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, plus a 10.25″ digital instrument cluster with fluid animations. Additional equipment inlcudes a 360-degree camera with transparent chassis function, an 8-speaker audio system, a coloured heads-up display, wireless charging tray, 8-way power adjustable driver seat, “Boss Switch” for the front passenger seat, a panoramic sunroof, a rotary shift selector, and a negative-ion air cleaner.
The SUV also comes with L2 ADAS features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, Lane Change Assist with Blind Spot Detection. Other features include Auto Reversing Assistance and 6 airbags. The vehicle body frame consists of 71.61% high-strength steel and 2000MPa themo-formed steel.
